New Green Refrigerant of R32

What is R32？

R-32 is a next generation refrigerant that efficiently carries heat and has lower environmental impact. Although there are various types of refrigerants, R-32 is a new refrigerant currently receiving the most interest.
Because R-32 efficiently conveys heat, it can reduce electricity consumption up to approximately 10% compared to that of air conditioners using refrigerant R-22. Furthermore, compared to the refrigerants widely used today such as R-22 and R-410A, R-32 has a global warming potential (GWP) that is one-third lower and is remarkable for its low environmental impact.

Why R32 will be popular in Future?  

1. R-32 is the most balanced refrigerant in terms of Environmental Impact/Energy Efficiency/Safety/Cost-Effectiveness for Stationary Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps..

2. Smaller Impact on Environment

R-32 has zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and its GWP (Global Warming Potential) is 675, which is lower than the GWP of currently used R-410A or R-22. It could reduce the charging volume by 30% compared to R-410A. R-32 related CO₂ emissions decrease by 76% thanks to the lower GWP and the charging volume reduction.

3. R32 is nontoxic Moreover, R32 refrigerant is higher in COP/EER than R410A. Therefore, R32 refrigerant will be the future trend of refrigerant in high COP heat pump manufacturing.

4. R32 the tendency is that the industry is moving more and more toward natural refrigerants where this is technologically feasible. Synthetic refrigerants are still likely to play a large role in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, but this will be in systems with the smallest possible charge of the refrigerant and with new low GWP substances.
